Don’t miss out on the May Day Festival of the Arts happening this Sunday from 11am-4pm in Everhart Park. There will be amazing arts and crafts from local artists and artisans, family entertainment, an awesome selection of food and even children’s rides.
Artists from the area (like Breakaway Ink, for example) will be showcasing their wares, and festival goers will have the chance to purchase items or to speak directly with the person who crafted them. Every year there is a great variety of children’s rides (what kid doesn’t love a moon bounce?), so make sure to bring along your little ones… and that goes for your four-legged friends, too. Being that this is one of the few major happenings NOT on the streets of West Chester, your pets are welcome to attend as well. There’ll be live performances (both musical and theatrical), jugglers, clowns and plenty more.
Of course, who can forget the awesome array of food? With Weather.com predicting it’ll be mid-seventies and sunny on Sunday, we suggest you bring a blanket, grab a snack and have a picnic right in the middle of one of West Chester’s most beautiful venues.
We’ll be out there snapping photos and filming some video, so – who knows – you might just make it into our next issue if you come on out. We hope to see you there!
