This year’s theme for the West Chester Public Library‘s summer reading kickoff was “Dream Big” celebrating anything and everything from the power of imagination (in which books have always served as a valuable tool) to the histories of people who did dream big and helped shape the world we live in today.
The kick-off celebration took place on Saturday, June 9 and was filled with activities such as the Usborne Book Fair, a make-and-take craft, and live musical entertainment. Attendees also uses the kick-off day as an opportunity to check out some of the other programs the library will be hosting this summer, including a Teddy Bear sleepover, Read to Charlie, and learning how to make dream-catchers.
