This year’s “Get It Done Day”, which was held on October 12th, turned out to be a successful day providing one-stop shopping for a variety of free services to Chester County Residents.
Over 500 screenings, enrollments and connections were made by around 100 attendees. Participants learned more about job readiness and placement services, housing and shelter services, received financial and budget counseling, opened savings and checking accounts and took advantage of health screenings and free flu shots.
Chester County Residents were connected with the area’s social services thanks to joint efforts between ACT in Faith of Greater West Chester, the Charles A. Melton Arts & Education Center, Bridge of Hope of Lancaster & Chester County, Chester County Health Department, Home of the Sparrow, and The Salvation Army of West Chester.
