This Thursday, October 29th is West Chester’s Food Co-op Forktales event at Boxcar Brewery. The evening will be full of stories, food, beer and laughs.
The Co-op happy hour begins at 6:30pm, featuring $4 draft specials of Mr. Pumpkin or Boxtoberfest. Forktale stories will begin at 7:30 pm.
Forktales are true stories that must be about food (alcohol does count as food). Tales must not be any longer than five minutes and no props, cheat sheets or music are allowed. Since the holiday is right around the corner, Halloween costumes are permitted. Tales told will be judged by the audience and winners will be given a Food Co-op bib as their prize.
Admission is $10 at the door, which includes entrance and access to the free appetizer buffet. Any guest who signs up to share a Forktale gets in for free. Member owners are free and are allowed to bring a guest for free. For more information visit here.
*Due to weather conditions the West Chester Halloween Parade has been postponed to the same night as Forktales. Major streets of town will be closed from 5 to 9pm due to the parade. For all guests attending Forktales, the best place to park is the Train Station Lot at Market Street between Matlack and Franklin Street.
