This holiday season embark on The 5th Annual Holiday Home Tour. The tour will guide guests through 10 gorgeous homes decorated for the holiday season. The event is created to benefit the 127 year-old, beautiful and historic West Chester Public Library.
This walking tour features “the old & the new”, spanning 151 years of home building history in the West Chester area. The homes date back to 1836-1987 and are located in the northeastern section of West Chester.
Phyllis Dunn, a board member at West Chester Public Library and the event’s coordinator, describes the event as, “A wonderful pre-holiday get together for people. You can pair it with a tailgate or go in to town for lunch or shopping. I tell guests to bring their girlfriends, husbands, friends or anyone! It is really a lot of fun and really brings the community together.”
Tours will take place on Saturday, December 5th, from 10a.m. until 3 p.m. Each home is unique providing its own charm and history, allowing for new sites at each stop and a day of excitement. Over 88 hostesses will be present at the event, inviting guests into each home and providing staff for the tours. Typically, tours can last from 2-3 hours, depending on your pace and exploration of each home.
