“In the Biz” Winter Ball Wrap-up Reported by Jesse Piersol
Whew! Finally recovered from Sunday’s gala, which was a fabulous party hosted by Full Circle Entertainment to celebrate local businesses and benefit two great causes: the Chester County Hero Fund and the West Chester Food Cupboard.
No ride? No worries.
Local celebrity and Luxury Limosine’s most popular driver, Geno ferried guests to and from downtown WC to the Days Hotel on High Street.
The Look
Balmy temperatures drew crowds attired in fancy frocks and dapper suits. Big shout out to my makeup artist friend Kelly Murray for glamming me up for the evening.
The Moves
The WC Press’ own DJ Romeo MCed the event, with local band Lost in Paris laying down a stylish groove all night.
Balls
Since it was a winter “ball,” there was a table of—appropriately enough—balls, donated by West Chester Sport & Social Club and raffled off to a VERY enthusiastic crowd.
The Food
Limoncello provided the spread, with desserts from Cakes and Candies by Maryellen. (Note: I’ll take any leftovers of the green beans, Limoncello. Thanks.)
The Booze
My drink of choice was the vodka gimlet, an old-school drink I discovered only days before this event at an event hosted by Malena’s Vintage. It is a magical beverage, perfect for an evening with temperatures that teased of spring’s arrival.
Already excited for next year. Fingers crossed for a petting zoo too. Please?
