The Chester County Historical Society is partnering with The African American Museum in Philadelphia for a special event. Stories Untold: An African American Family History Workshop will take place Saturday, April 30th from 8:15am to 2pm.
A panel of experts featuring genealogists Dena Chasten-Ellis and Shamele Jordon, local historian Syl Woolford, and professor of history and policy studies Dr.Craig Stutman will address issues and challenges faced by African American genealogical research. During the workshop guests will learn about the collective history of the African American culture. Listen to a variety of historic African American stories, and feel free to share your own!
