Uptown! Entertainment Alliance is pairing up with Sara Michaels in presentation of Gina Roche for the May’s Jazz Cocktail Hour on Thursday, May 19th. Doors open at 6pm, with music starting at 6:30 pm and lasting until 8:30 pm.
Gina Roche and her Quartet will be performing at the event. Gina as the voice, guitar and uke, Jim Ridl on the piano, Chico Huff playing the bass and Erik Johnson playing the drums.
Gina is known for her live performances full of Brazilian style and a unique jazz blend. Gina has toured Wales, England, Japan, the U.S., the Grand Cayman Islands, and Aruba, singing in different languages with musicians from Brazil, Africa, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Britain. She has performed on well know shows such as, Good Morning America and Late Night with Conan O’Brien and alongside famous artists such as McCoy Tyner and Gerald Veasley.
Gina’s debut CD, “Dawning of a New Way,”(Dreambox Media) continues to excell. Gina’s most recent release is her second CD of original compositions “THANKFULLY” (Independent), now available on iTunes, Amazon and CDbaby.com.
