Every spring, the first thing that comes to mind are the beautiful and colorful flowers that fill West Chester residential gardens. However, in order to achieve such beauty in the spring, you must plant these flowers now. West Chester Public Library will be offering you the chance to get a head start and snag all of the bulbs you want to plant now and books to go along with them! On Saturday, October 1st, they will be hosting a Bulb and Book Fundraiser Sale from 9:30am-2pm.
Books and Bulbs Fundraiser
The event will take place on the library’s terrace on 415 North Church Street. In the event of bad weather, they will move everything inside so you still have the chance to shop. The West Chester Public Library will be offering fourteen different types of bulbs in every color in many different varieties. The different types of flowers that will be included are Giant Darwin Tulips, Apricot Impression, Parade Burning Heart. Sake and Narcissus King Alfred, and Ice Follies. If you want to make sure that your choice of flower will be available at the sale, you can visit here to pre-order by September 15th.
The books for sale at the event include everywhere from fiction to nonfiction to children’s books. The best part is, you will have plenty of books to read while you await the arrival of your plants or in your garden when it’s in full blossom in the spring. All proceeds of the sale will support the operations and programs of the library.
