Right outside of West Chester, a new Art Studio is opening its doors, and they want you to be a part of it! Join Ivystone Studio of Downingtown for their two day grand opening, November 25th and 26th, from 4pm-10pm. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeurves and drinks while meeting new, talented artists and listening to live music. Also included in the night will be a silent auction and live stone sculpting!
What used to be a 200 year old stone barn has been renovated to become an artistic hot spot for those in Downingtown and the surrounding area. Ivystone shows off fresh contemporary art, including sculptures, jewelry, furniture and crafts such as hand-blown glass. Not only will they be displaying these amazing pieces, but they offer a series of services.
Hand Blown Glass: order a custom made, hand blown glass to take back to your home or to give to a family or friend this holiday season. They make anything from kitchenware, bottles and wine decanters to vases and bowls. These items can be engraved with writing or even with photos.
Classes: Ivystone offers both private and group glassblowing lessons so you can experience and learn what it takes to make these beautiful pieces of art. The classes are offered at different rates. They come to $100 per hour, or $80 per hour for over three hours of classes. Day rates go for $250 a day per person or $350 a day per couple.
Events: Ivystone’s amazing barn will be available for events including private functions and pop-up shows.
