A West Chester business switched up their dress code, allowing their employees to wear blue jeans, which ended up helping families battling cancer.
Benchmark Federal Credit Union raised $2,100 to give to a local charity. Employees of all branches of the company donated funds so that they could wear jeans to work.
This amazing donation was given to Cuddle My Kids, a charitable organization in Westtown. Cuddle My Kids provides in-home and no cost resources for families who are affected by cancer. Families affected by this horrible disease can endure a lot of stress. Cuddle my kids seeks out to support the entire family through their programs. First, they have a program, providing the kids affected with support through creative play. In addition, they include time offered to the sick parent, focusing on healing and quality of life.

Causal Friday Taken to a Charitable Level
Benchmark allows their employees at all their different offices and branches to wear jeans to work every Friday. The company asks employees for a monthly donation in exchange, which is given to a community charity. All funds collected are given to a Chester County nonprofit at the end of the year. This year, employees at Benchmark’s branches in Downtown West Chester and Phoenixville helped provide the charity this year.
The Charitable Work Doesn’t Stop There
