We’re always talking about how scenic West Chester is. In fact, it’s so beautiful that you can view the countryside on West Chester’s very own railroad! From June 4th through September 17th on Sundays at noon, you can enjoy a relaxing 90-minute train ride from West Chester to Glen Mills and back with your friends and family. There’s hardly anything better than train rides on summer afternoons, hearing the whir of the engine as the train chugs along the tracks, and feeling the whistling breeze through your hair.
You can pre-order your lunch online with your train ticket and eat it on the train ride. Each lunch includes a ham and cheese sandwich, a turkey and cheese sandwich, or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a bag of chips, applesauce, cookies, and a beverage. The lunch comes with a souvenir lunch bag for you to take home and commemorate your trip.
- Adult tickets: $15
- Children tickets (ages two to 12): $13. Children under the age of two ride for free!
- Ham and cheese or turkey and cheese sandwiches: $15
- Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches: $10

The West Chester Railroad will take you through Westtown, Cheyney, and Locksley along the Chester Creek before arriving at Glen Mills train station in Delaware County.
