It’s that time again, we did another photo shoot today for our August Look Book. Yesterday, I talked with Dina and Bri, but today, I’m sitting with Grace Li from G-Spot and Dianna from Christine’s.
Grace Li, a senior special education major with an Autism minor at West Chester University, was referred to the modeling industry by people who thought she was photogenic.
“A lot of people recently told me I was really pretty,” Grace Li said in our photographer’s studio. “I used to be a server at Iron Hill, but modeling works so much better with my busy schedule.”
And being a senior at West Chester definitely keeps her busy! Ever since she became the president of the Special Olympics club at Downingtown West High School, Grace Li really found her niche in the special education field. Now, she aims to teach students from kindergarten to 12th grade.
Grace Li currently also models for QVC, Dison Hair Dryers, and It Cosmetics. But even when she becomes a teacher, she won’t give up her modeling career.
“It’s just a lot of fun,” she explained. “I always joke that I’ll be able to retire early and just do modeling.
Our other model, Dianna, found a passion for modeling at 16 when she shadowed a photographer friend of hers.
“I used to think I wanted to be a photographer,” she illustrated. “I had a family friend who I followed around in high school and I realized I like modeling more.”
Currently, Dianna models for May 23, and works at Stratus Interactive as their lead graphic designer and creator, often design websites, menus, ebooks, and infographics among other marketing materials. She realized she loved studying studio arts at West Chester University from a young age.
“I grew up drawing and painting,” Dianna explained. “Graphic design was the only way I could do that and make money.”
