Have you been following our blogs from Monday and Tuesday here? Our final round of photo shoots has finally 
arrived. Today, I sat with two models: Jazlyn from H. Rose and Donna from Moonflower.
Originally from Quarryville, PA, Jazlyn was introduced to the modeling industry in 2014 from her aunt’s Lancaster City floral shop.
“She got me into it with a flower dress she made me wear out of real flowers,” Jazlyn described.
In her experience, Jazlyn has modeled for various bridal venues, her cousin’s photography company, Moriah Chauné, and Sweet Caroline Styles in Philadelphia. When she’s not modeling, she’s working at Your Modeling Guys and Hane’s.
“I also love to dance,” she provided. “Ballet, jazz, hip-hop, anything!”
She recently participated in a bridal photo shoot for her aunt featuring her aunt’s floral designs.
Our second model, Donna, actually got her start from our photographer, Sabina.
“It was two or three years ago, Sabina needed a model to practice on,” she illustrated. “I’d always been behind the scenes with art and photography before.”
Originally from Clarion, PA, Donna is currently a senior psychology major with minors in French and communications in West Chester University. In her free time, she manages and co-hosts “Awake Tonight,” a West Philly radio show with her friends on MXCI Radio.
“We try to bring out local musical artists,” Donna said. “It’s a talk show, so we discuss subjects that are important to them. Basically, it’s what keeps you awake at night.”
She plans to work in industrial organizational psychology, ensuring that companies work efficiently and effectively. But she will continue to make time for modeling.
“I’ll be looking for more modeling gigs after I graduate,” she said.
