Saturday March 17th — it’s “Literacy Links Invitational: Miniature Golf Between the Stacks!”
This Saturday, St. Patrick’s Day, bring your family and your friends to this the West Chester Public Library’s 4th Annual “Literacy Links Invitational: Miniature Golf Between the Stacks,” sponsored by MacElree Harvey Ltd.
From 10am until 3pm, you’ll be able to enjoy the Family Fun Round with your kids, as the upper and lower floors of the library will be converted to a mini-golf fairway with tees, greens, and holes sponsored by local businesses and individuals. This Family Fun Round consists of mini-golf and magic by Matty Whipple, Balloons by Jim, and face-painting artistry by Gaillynn Giles.
Admission for the Family Fun Round costs $5 per person. A make-and-take craft table, snacks, and a bake sale will also be available.
Then, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, the library is celebrating St. Patty’s! Adults will be able to indulge in Irish whiskys, Irish-themed hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer, and stouts, while they play the “Irish Open.” During this party, a prize drawing will happen for the West Chester Public Library’s “Celebrate West Chester” raffle, which includes a gift basket brimming with gift cards and other items from local businesses.
Admission for the “Irish Open” party is $75 per person and $125 per couple.
“Everyone who comes out to play in the Literacy Links Invitational will be supporting the operations and programs of the library, the place where one and all can come, in person or digitally, for information, entertainment, education, and inspiration. Whether instilling a lifelong love of reading in our children and teens, providing resources to local businesses and job-seekers, or offering enriching programs and connection for adults, West Chester Public Library makes our community a better place to live and work” — WCPL Staff
