Without leaving West Chester, experience the best of Irish culture at the Chester County Historical Society!
From our June Summer Fun Guide.
As a part of Chester County Historical Society’s Passport Cultural Series, Discover Ireland is a musical storytelling event on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 5:30 to 7:30pm for friends and family that delves into Irish culture.
Celtic harpist and storyteller Joanna Mell will be performing classic Irish songs. With 32 years of experience playing the harp and singing in English and Gaelic across the United States, she’s stopping in West Chester for one night only to play for members and non-society members.
Along with Joanna’s performance, the McCade-Cara School of Irish Dance will dance traditional step and figure Irish dances. Well-known for their award-winning performances in the Philadelphia Saint Patrick’s Day Parade, the school is dedicated to preserving and embracing the tradition of Irish dancing.
Tickets vary between Historical Society members and non-members. For members, tickets cost $10, $5 for children. For non-members, tickets cost $12, $7 for children. All student tickets cost $5 with an ID. To buy tickets, call 610.692.4800 or emailĀ rsvp@chestercohistorical.org.
