At 6.7% ABA, the Pour House IPA is the fifth collaboration with Victory Brewing Company.
On Thursday, June 21st, The Pour House in Exton and its two other locations in North Wales, PA and Westmont, NJ released the new India Pale Ale, Pour House IPA — the fifth collaboration between the restaurant and Victory Brewing Company. A member of the PJ Whelihan’s Group, The Pour House’s four other collaborations include P.J.W. Copper Lager, Whelihan’s White, P.J. Whelihan’s Session Ale and Pour House Hoppy White.
The Pour House IPA will be available for $3 for the rest of June, and then $5 thereafter. Brewed exclusively for The Pour House by Victory Brewing Company, the Pour House IPA is cloudy, with a complex aroma that starts sharp and rolls into a sweet grape and citrus character over significant hoppiness that becomes distinctly tropical and a little bitter by the end.
The IPA was brewed heavily with tropical hops, including Motueka, Mosaic, Lemondrop and Citra hops, and given a malty flavor in the background. At 6.7% ABA, it’s smooth, dry, and bitter while complimenting the piney hops.
With The Pour House’s impressive and delicious selection of appetizers, dinners, and desserts, the Pour House IPA was designed specifically with its customers in mind and is released on the first day of summer to kick off the season.
“We’ve been friends and collaborators with Victory since we launched PJW Copper Lager in 2007,” said Jim Fris, Chief Operating Officer of P.J.W. Restaurant Group. “We’ve now created five beers together, each one unique and an absolute pleasure to make. Victory understands our clientele’s appreciation for great, local beer and I can’t wait for them to try Pour House IPA.”
