The new Localized App, a GPS for finding the best West Chester specials, kicks off West Chester’s Night Out, a dinner event every summer Thursday night.

Localized App, a free platform where small business owners can connect with people near their storefront, launched its first official West Chester’s Night Out on Thursday, July 12th. Happening every Thursday night at 5pm during the summer, downtown and nearby West Chester restaurants will be posting their Thursday night specials on the Localized App.
By turning on your location, you can see exactly how far away you are from each business. Now, you’ll never be stuck 
on what to do if you go out on Thursday nights.
The Localized App isn’t just for restaurants — it can connect you with the best deals in hair salons, real estate agencies, and our very own Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center. I chatted with Dan Balmer, the app’s founder, about what West Chester’s Night Out will achieve for the borough.
“When we launched last October, I asked myself, ‘how can you find out what’s happening while you walk down the street?'” he said. “With West Chester’s Night Out, we took it a step further. We want every business owner to connect with locals using the app to promote their businesses.”

Designed for you to use with your family and friends, the Localized App will make you more active within the West Chester community. Dan has big plans for improvement in the coming months.
“We want to develop a new user interface where we post schedules and local insights, and users can leave comments,” he described. “We want the app to be second-nature.”
