West Chester University’s Homecoming Weekend is right around the corner, starting on November second through the fourth.
West Chester University alumni are welcomed back to campus to reminisce with old friends and former classmates. There are several events that will be taking place through out the weekend. We picked out our favorite ones, in our opinion that you truly can’t miss.
On Friday, November second there will be a homecoming kick off party starting at 6pm going until 9pm. Delicious food will be served by Jon Serock Catering. There will also be a beer and wine garden provided by Levante Brewing Company. Brent Christopher Pelleschi ’98 will be performing live music throughout the night. The cost per ticket is $10 until October 30th, or $15 at the door.
Saturday (November third) swing by and grab a treat before the parade at Sykes lobby. They will be serving free pastries and coffee from 9 – 10am. The parade then begins at at 10am, beginning on Church St. and Rosedale Ave.
Later in the day, there will be a pre-game food truck festival at the N lot on South Campus. This event goes from 1 – 3pm. There is a $5.00 entrance fee, accepting cash only. This includes snacks and beverages, with beer provided by Levante Brewing Company. The food trucks include Plum Pit and Humpty’s Dumplings. The price will vary depending on the food truck. There will also be a DJ, face painting, games, the Brandywine Zoo, moon bounces, and a balloon artist.
The football game starts at 2pm at Farrell Stadium. West Chester University will be playing Lock Haven, on our home turf. You purchase tickets online as well.
Winding down on Sunday (November third) there will be a community wide Adobpt-a-block cleanup. Before leaving, be a part of keeping the West Chester community clean. Alumni, staff, faculty, and students will come together at this time. This event is rain or shine at 9am.
We hope to see you all next weekend at some of these awesome events.
