The Brandywine Valley SPCA is hosting a 5K race and family fun day at West Goshen Family Park.
The event was created to raise money in order to benefit animals that are in need. This year, their goal is to collect up to $110,000! Right now, they have received about $94,000 — making them about 86 percent of the way there. Let’s help them raise even more!
The lineup of activities is the biggest it’s ever been for this event. They are bringing back the ever popular Doggie Fun Zone for your dog to enjoy an interactive obstacle course, guided by a lure. There is also a lot planned for the kids, such as: Stubby the Helicopter, inflatables, games, and face painting. To get a better outline of the day, here is the event’s schedule:
9:00am – Registration Opens, Festivities Begin
9:30am – 5K Run Begins, 1st Yoga w/Puppies
10:30am – 1K Walk Begins
11:00am – Sneakers the Clown
11:30am – Adoptable’s Showcase
12:00pm – Pet Costume Contest
1:00pm – Walk for Paws Ends
Online registration for the 5K run and 1K walk is available for a limited time (5K ends 4/23 and 1K 5/26) , so make sure to sign up as soon as possible. This covers admission for the run or walk, an event t-shirt, all of the days fun, and lots of goodies from the event’s sponsors.
