Help Chester County Historical Society save your history by coming out to an awesome block party and open house this Saturday, October 19.

Chester County Historical Society is competing for a national grant to secure funding for roof repairs, and they need your help.
The competition, Vote Your Main Street, is hosted by National Geographic and sets out to honor places of historic significance to women in the United States. The current home of Chester County Historical Society, Thomas U. Walter’s Horticultural Hall, was home to the first PA Women’s Rights Convention, and is a candidate for this year’s grant.
The competition consists of two parts:
Part 1 – Daily Online Voting. You can vote one time each day on the contests website, and the organization with most votes wins.
Part 2 – In-Person Voting. Come out to CCHS (225 N High Street) this Saturday, October 19 from Noon-6pm and vote in person. The organization with the most in-person votes receives $50,000
The best thing about Part 2? Coming out to show your support also means joining into a huge Block Party & Open House event. There will be live music, a beer garden sponsored by Saloon 151, food trucks, children’s activities, and historical reenactors.
Come help CHHS triumph and show the nation that our history matters (and have a great time while you’re doing it). We’ll see you there.
